In last 6 days we got 3 notes from you (24th, 26th and 30th of September, 2024) about emails sent to some of you by a “Global Travel Team” refering to a November Conference in Warsaw (both examples I place below in blue). They offer “support” to finalize your reservation etc. First it looked for us as a travel agency of your choice but with two more emails we can see a targeted, suspicious action. This is why I send this warning.
!!! I HAVE TO SUGGEST – PLEASE DO NOT FOLLOW THEIR OFFER. WE DO NOT WORK WITH ANY BROKERS. !!!
We have no idea who they are but it looks like a scam. There are warinings on Internet about them – example received from one of you (thank you): https://help.escardio.org/s/article/SCAM-Email-alert published by European Society of Cardiology. They even do not have webpage at gtravelservices.com.
Dear friends. We suppose they scan various conference speakers / participants list and try to offer services in personalised emails with your name (I replaced them with XXX below). We have no idea if they are trying to earn extra offering services with a high interest or they are scammers stealing money.
All we do is limited to preparing and publishing a list of several hotels close to our Institute, especially those that offer discounts to our participants (https://chambers.pl/hotel-base-2024/). As a rule, we do not support bookings of hotels or flights. (Any exceptions are agreed directly by e-mail with me or Ms. Paulina Ochman from our Institute – her e-mail is in CC:) We have also not authorized anyone to act on our behalf.
We hope that the information below will reach you on time and will allow you to avoid problems. Please send us the full content of such suspicious e-mails with the addresses of the senders and the data of the people who signed them so that we can warn other participants.
In case of problems – consider notifying the appropriate law enforcement agencies. This “company” follows no fair-trade and is not based in Poland.
