From October 13-17, 2025, Piotr Marciniak, PhD (Assistant Professor at the Institute of Law Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences) was a Visiting Professor at Escola Superior De Comerç Internacional (ESCI-UPF) in Barcelona, Spain. A series of presentations on chambers of commerce, presented to BA and MA students and seminars, included the following lectures:
- Introduction to models of chambers of commerce.
- Chambers of Commerce as a tool to support SMEs, international trade, and internationalization.
- Conditions for recognizing chambers of commerce as inclusive institutions in the context of considerations for Nobel Prize winners in economics 2024.
The event was organized in collaboration with Prof. Joan Pere Plaza from ESCI-UPF Barcelona and Prof. Ivan Medina from the University of Valencia (and also a member of our Chambers of Commerce Research Group).
Our team discussed further possible joint academic projects for 2026.
