Prof. Aleksandra Mężykowska works in the Department of Constitutional Law and European Research at the Institute of Law Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences. She specializes in systems of international protection of human rights, in particular systems created on the basis of the European Convention on Human Rights; intertemporal issues in international law; protection of property rights as a human right; and protection of the rights of victims of serious human rights violations. During the Chambers of Commerce – 3rd International Conference, which will take place on 14-15 November in Warsaw, she will present with Prof. Anna Młynarska-Sobaczewska (ILS PAS, Poland) a study entitled: “Chambers of Commerce and War; their functions in the process of reporting and compensating damage suffered in connection with the aggression of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine.“.

In their presentation, they will focus on the regulations concerning chambers of commerce in Poland and on an extremely fascinating, important and, above all, little-known issue – Register of Damage for Ukraine. They will try to answer the question of what companies can do to obtain compensation for losses incurred as a result of war in Ukraine?
