Prof. Johan Eklund is Professor of Economics and Chief economist at Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Southern Sweden and at Scandinavian Policy Institute.
During the Chambers of Commerce – 3rd International Conference, which will take place on 14-15 November in Warsaw, he will focus on: “Policy work of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Southern Sweden”. As a private knowledge organization, chamber offers its members various services including international trade support, networking events, seminars and training within a wide range of topics as well as business advice and lobbying on behalf of their members. They arrange around 250 seminars, meetings and training opportunities annually. One of chamber’s core activities is development and lobbying on evidence based public policy. In this work they both have policy experts and researchers in house, but they also collaborate closely with academic researchers. The chamber has a long track record of successful development and implementation of public policies.
