Piotr Marciniak, PhD. researches chambers of commerce at the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is also a co-founder of Chambers of Commerce International Research Team which organizes upcoming conference. During the Chambers of Commerce – 3rd International Conference, which will take place on 14-15 November in Warsaw, he will moderate the 5th Panel – Expanding of the International Research Group and will deliver a speaches: “SME representation in Chambers of Commerce bodies“ and “Current state of affairs of the Polish chambers of commerce”.
The first presentation focuses on formal balance of members – representatives of all sizes of companies in bodies (authorities) of chambers of commerce which impacts the activity and position of the chambers in dialogue with state authorities and in services provided for members. The second presentation shows a mozaic of various private- and public-law chambers in Poland which poses a classification challenge in model analyses.
