Jonas Pupius is the PhD candidate at Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences, Lithuania and Science Manager at Institute of Economics and Rural Development. Piotr Marciniak, PhD works as Assistant Professor at Institute of Law Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences.
The comparative study of Chambers of Commerce in the Baltic States, Poland and Belarus is our second joint project. The first one described chambers of agriculture in Baltic States and was presented half a year ago durring the conference “Business and Management 2025“, Vilnius, Lithuania.
During the Chambers of Commerce – 4th International Conference we will describe the chambers of commerce in five neighboring countries: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Belarus in connection with political changes since 1989/1990. This is the first comparative study of this type and at the same time the first description of the chambers of the Baltic States and the Belarusian chamber. The selection of countries allows for the analysis of differences in the organization of chambers in the region, constituting another element of the model analyses of these organizations.
